A Day in the Life

The DevOps Engineer will be part of Nutrino’s R&D team, developing infrastructure that supports the next generation of insulin pumps – providing data-enabled therapy in the cloud. The DevOps Engineer at Nutrino is responsible for providing a development cycle solution to deploy secure, compliant, and stable systems. Responsibilities include planning, designing, and implementing critical parts of the infrastructure to support highly scalable applications, development pipelines, infrastructure as code, and internal tooling.

You’ll be part of a collaborative team where your voice matters, and you'll have the opportunity to lead initiatives, think strategically about next steps, and shape the future of our infrastructure. Working in a regulated environment, you’ll need a strong focus on compliance and security to ensure that everything we build aligns with industry standards. Most importantly, you’ll be working on a product that directly impacts diabetic patients' lives, helping to improve their quality of care and daily experience. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Design and implement deployment process for governed applications
  • Provide infrastructure as code solutions for development teams
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines


Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • 4+ years of DevOps experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS infrastructure and resources (networking, compute, storage, DB, IAM)
  • Proven experience setting and supporting production environments
  • Proficiency in building environments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, OpenTofu, Pulumi, CloudFormation, etc.)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools
  • Hands-on programming experience in one of the following: Python, Java, Go, Ruby
  • Strong architectural skills and an understanding of complex technical designs
  • FinOps experience, including understanding of cloud costs and cost estimation
  • Experience with monitoring tools (DataDog, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)


Advantages:

  • Experience with the following technologies and platforms: Serverless Framework, GitHub Actions, Env0, GCP, Azure
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience working under regulatory requirements, preferably medical systems
