We are looking for a talented and motivated Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to work on our claims offering features end-to-end. This team will be responsible for delivering a delightful claims experience and optimized claims outcomes for our customers (drivers, fleets, and brokers) and internal stakeholders (for example, claims adjusters). Claims is the most impactful insurance-related experience for our customers, and our ability to deliver a seamless and fair end-to-end experience is a critical component of our value proposition and our success in fulfilling our mission.
- Design, build and integrate systems & APIs to enhance our customer's Claims experience E2E
- Develop a seamless and accurate claim submission process with high visibility and timely resolution
- Partner with the data sciences team to leverage telematics data and techniques such as ML-based assessments, predictions and image processing to automate claims processing, improve the Claims Adjuster experience and boost efficiency
- Partner with data sciences and design fraud detection system using various data signals and patterns to analyze, detect, and flag anomalies
- Design and automate data acquisition & enrichment platform to leverage different data sources for timely claims assessments and accurate claims outcomes
- Contribute to and consistently raise the bar for engineering best-practices such as coding standards, writing well-tested code, extensible reusable libraries, and mentor junior engineers

What you will need:
- 5+ years in backend software development, writing and maintaining production-grade software that is designed to be performant, scalable, and resilient
- Experience with React or other modern Javascript frameworks (e.g. Angular, VueJS…)
- Experience with the Python programming language and common Python web frameworks like Flask and Django is a plus!
- Understanding of HTTP APIs, Message brokers, relational databases like Postgresql, and non-structured databases, like Casandra.
- Solid understanding of core web and browser concepts (eg. how the browser parses and constructs a web page)
- Working in containerized Linux environments in the cloud (we use AWS)
- Understanding of Statistical and ML models is a plus
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Self-driven and able to work independently
- Comfortable working in a highly agile, intensely iterative software development process
