MCE builds a platform for managing mobile devices. Our platform includes a self developed hybrid app architecture, spanning iOS, Android, PC, web and cloud services. Our application code - logic, UI, web services - is almost entirely TypeScript and ReactJS.

Our customers include the world’s largest mobile operators, retail chains, and logistics facilities. We are facing challenges, but it’s a fun ride.

What are we looking for?

• A senior developer who will modernize, maintain and create production grade platform components for MCE’s software to run on PCs (Windows, Linux incl. Raspberry Pi).
• 5+ years experience with C++.
• Familiarity with Win32 APIs and Linux.
• Knowledge of communication protocols, such as TCP/UDP.
• 4+ years experience with Node.js programming.
• The following are welcome advantages:
• Development experience of Windows device drivers.
• Experience with Electron.
• Experience with TypeScript.

What will you do at MCE?

• Our PC (mostly Windows but also Linux and R-Pi) software communicates with mobile devices via USB cables for quick and powerful operations, such as injection of utility apps, factory reset and software updates. We also communicate via HDMI in some cases.
• Our PC software requires robust installation, update, licensing, monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities. Some of the PCs are headless (appliance like).
• Our PC software is installed on PCs managed by our customers, with extra IT challenges.
• We are in the process of modernizing our platform, trying to maximize use of Node.js code with TypeScript.
