Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Power Engineer with expertise in designing, developing, and testing Photovoltaic (PV) Inverters for renewable energy applications. As a Power Engineer, you will be responsible for designing high-efficiency inverter systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and contributing to the overall optimization of PV system performance.
Responsibilities
Design and Development: Lead the development of power conversion systems, specifically PV inverters (DC-AC), focusing on efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Circuit Design: Design and simulate inverter circuits (e.g., power stages, filters, transformers) and associated components (IGBTs, MOSFETs, etc.) for PV applications.
System Optimization: Optimize inverter performance for efficiency, thermal management, and grid compatibility under various environmental and load conditions.
Control Algorithms: Develop and implement control algorithms (e.g., MPPT, grid synchronization, islanding detection) to maximize inverter performance.
Prototyping & Testing: Build and test prototypes to validate designs, troubleshoot issues, and iterate as needed to meet performance benchmarks.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure compliance with international standards (e.g., IEC, UL) and grid codes (e.g., IEEE 1547) for PV systems.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, firmware developers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of the inverter into larger PV systems.
Simulation & Modeling: Utilize simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink) to model and analyze power electronics systems and components.
Documentation: Prepare detailed design documentation, including schematics, design calculations, test reports, and user manuals.
