As cyber-attacks have become more sophisticated, MDE helps enterprises detect, investigate, and automatically disrupt advanced attacks and data breaches on their networks. From detecting and disrupting nation state actors to huge ransomware actors in action, our research team brings deep knowledge of the attacker landscape and tradecraft to create the innovations necessary to uncover and protect against even the most well-funded attacker.
Your job as a Principal AI Architect is to design and build AI solutions that help our customers with their security needs by using the team's security research skills. You will work with security research, applied science and engineering teams to make it easier to use AI in their work. You will keep track of the newest AI developments and use them to tackle hard security research issues.

Responsibilities
- Lead the long-term AI strategy of the team, in collaboration with the different leaders
- Collaborate with security experts to integrate their insights into the AI roadmap
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI, including LLM, GNN and Anomaly Detection, and apply these to solve complex cybersecurity challenges
- Contribute actively and work together with applied scientists to test hypotheses and implement ML models
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the AI team
Qualifications
- M.Sc. (PhD preferred) in Computer Science (or equivalent)
- 10+ years of AI/ML experience in the industry (5+ years for PhD)
- Strong technical skills in AI and machine learning
- Track record of shipping innovative AI-based products at scale
- Extensive and up to date knowledge in LLM and other modern AI methods
- Coding skills and knowledge of Python AI ecosystem
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Keen interest in cyber security
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the cybersecurity industry
- Publications of AI-related research
- Experience with Cloud computing and databases
- Experience working with customers to understand their business needs and design solutions that meet their requirements.
