Position Overview:
As a DevOps you will lead engineering duties such as Cloud readiness assessments, AWS architecture design, system evaluation, system analysis, AWS Infrastructure Operations, Optimization and Maintenance, Change and Configuration Management, Support, Release, Control and Validation of Cloud Infrastructure Deployment and Migration.
Responsibilities:
- Engineering AWS Environments: Design and implement automated, fault-tolerant, and scalable AWS environments.
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Ensure optimal configuration of AWS Cloud Infrastructure from both technical and budget perspectives.
- Incident Management: Provide escalation support and expertise for AWS infrastructure-related issues.
- Terraform Templates: Develop and manage Terraform templates for sustainable AWS infrastructure.
- Issue Investigation: Investigate outages and issues, document resolutions, and maintain a knowledge base.
- Documentation: Produce and maintain architecture diagrams and system designs.
- System Assessment: Identify potential weaknesses in cloud systems and upgrade software and hardware for optimal performance.
- Resource Monitoring: Monitor cloud resource consumption, set financial controls, generate reports, and apply cloud governance methodologies.
Requirements:
- Experience: 8+ years as a DevOps Engineer with proven experience with AWS
- Expert Knowledge: Deep understanding of AWS architecture and services (e.g., Route53, RDS, OpenSearch).
- Infrastructure as Code: Strong experience with Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation.
- High Availability Systems: Experience in engineering and maintaining high availability production systems.
- Software Management: Knowledge of software installation, configuration, and patching in a cloud environment.
- Monitoring: Experience with system monitoring tools and cloud-specific products.
- Agile and DevOps: Familiarity with Agile and DevOps concepts, including developing monitoring architecture and implementing alerts.
- Release Management: Experience with DevOps release and build management, automation scripts, and GitHub actions.
- Container Platforms: Experience with container platform tools like AWS EKS.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Leadership: Ability to guide the team and provide best practices as a DevOps Tech Lead.
