BMC is looking for a DevOps Engineering Manager with a passion for innovation and technology!
In this role, you will manage a team of DevOps Engineers, both locally and remotely, who play a critical role in the SaaS infrastructure development of our amazing workload automation product, Control-M. This product enables the world’s largest companies to automate their applications and services. You will be responsible for hiring great talent, mentoring new and junior employees, assigning and prioritizing tasks, conducting employee evaluations, and helping our employees develop their careers at BMC.

- Direct management of a team of employees, both remotely and locally.
- Hiring, coaching/mentoring, task management, employee evaluation, and career development of employees.
- Plan, design, and develop our SaaS infrastructure, operation engine, and deployment strategy.
- Lead the CI/CD system redesign to build a new, robust AWS & K8S-based system accommodating a large number of CI/CD processes.
- Apply creative technical skills to transform sophisticated backend servers into a SaaS solution.
- Maintain existing code and our SaaS solution, including troubleshooting and solving production issues.
- Work on next-generation technologies, products, and solutions for our new data platform.
- Collaborate with various teams, such as Development, QA, R&D, Support, Product Management, and others.
To ensure you're set up for success, you will bring the following skill set and experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in direct management of development teams.
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps role.
- Experience in hiring, mentoring, and task management.
- Experience in SaaS architecture development on cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Experience with SaaS infrastructure as code (IaC), preferably Terraform.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Jenkins.
- Experience with automation processes, automation tools, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an investigative mindset.
- A team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
