We’re seeking an experienced tech lead to help shape the future of our Product Platform. This super impactful squad unleashes the ability for teams across Lemonade to use low code for building and launching new products… fast! This is the ideal role for someone who wants to enable rapid development without compromising on high standards.

This position is key for our business’s next phase, so you’ll work closely with various product teams to develop the solutions they need and enhance the developer experience. Your work will drive innovation at Lemonade, improve organizational efficiency, and contribute to building a platform that’s both powerful and user-friendly.

In this role you'll:

• Own your domain to ensure code quality, performance, and our products’ scalability
• Coach and mentor other developers to help them elevate their architecture and coding skills
• Build our products using microservices written in Typescript (using NestJS) that run over Kubernetes
• Leverage our in-house autonomous tools to manage development flow, from setting up our development environment to creating git branches and deploying services to production
• Collaborate closely with the Product team, while operating in a self-sufficient squad to achieve team goals
• Bring features to the finish line while working with stakeholders across the organization, including product, design, and data

What you'll need:

• 8+ years working as a backend engineer
• Broad knowledge of modern backend frameworks, tools, and architecture
• Experience leading and working on high scale, production-grade projects
• B.S. in Computer Science or Mathematics (or equivalent experience)
• Proficient in typescript and NestJS, a plus
• Past contributions to open source projects, a plus
• Ability to work in an office environment a minimum of 3 days a week
