We’re seeking a senior backend engineer to help shape the future of our Product Platform, which enables teams across Lemonade to use low code to build and launch new products efficiently. This role is ideal for someone focused on rapid development while maintaining high standards.

In this key position, you’ll work closely with various product teams, developing solutions that meet our product needs while enhancing the developer experience. Your work will drive innovation at Lemonade, improve organizational efficiency, and contribute to building a platform that’s both powerful and user-friendly.

In this role you'll

• Own your domain to ensure code quality, performance, and our products’ scalability
• Build our products using microservices written in Typescript (using NestJS) that runs over Kubernetes
• Leverage our in-house autonomous tools to manage development flow, from setting up our development environment to creating git branches and deploying services to production
• Collaborate closely with the Product team, while operating in a self-sufficient squad to achieve team goals
• Bring features to the finish line while working with stakeholders across the organization, including product, design, and data
• Coach and mentor other developers to help them elevate their skills

What you'll need

• 6+ years working as a backend engineer
• B.S. in Computer Science or Mathematics (or equivalent experience)
• Broad knowledge of modern backend frameworks, tools, and architecture
• Experience working on high scale, production-grade projects
• Past contributions to open source projects,a plus
• Ability to work in an office environment a minimum of 3 days a week
