Role Description

Seller Snap seeks a highly skilled and experienced Engineer with a data orientation to join our talented R&D team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in designing and deploying scalable data systems and pipelines, with a strong knowledge of cloud computing, data engineering, and data best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Take part in the full life cycle of user-facing applications and automations at scale, from design to implementation, testing and production
• Develop a strong understanding of the business, industry, codebase, and/or systems
• Build data applications to power our intelligence using tools like Spark
• Push the boundaries of engineering and data in the organization, find new and innovative ways to use data to drive business value
• Ship impactful data solutions and features that enhance our data consumer experience

Requirements:

• 3+ year of professional software development experience with a focus on big data technologies
• Comprehensive computer science fundamentals in coding, object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms
• BS in Computer Science
• 4+ year of professional software development experience, with a focus on big data technologies
• Experience with Spark, Kafka, and/or other big data technologies
• Familiarity with data storage technologies such as Delta Lake, HBase, Cassandra, and MongoDB
• Familiarity with Apache Hudi/Iceberg, Apache Beam, Apache Flink, Amazon Kinesis Data Analytics, and/or Databricks
