Job Description

• Lead and manage a team of 8 Frontend and Backend Engineers, driving technology, innovation and growth
• Develop and execute a long-term technology strategy that follows market trends
• Collaborate with other departments to drive business growth
• Lead the development and launch of new products on the Wix platform and frameworks
• Manage a continuous integration and deployment process following the Wix DevEx style
• Build and manage a remote team of developers, DevOps engineers, and PS engineers
• Develop and monitor research plans for R&D projects
• Direct the Research and Development program, from new product proposals all the way to commercialization
• Define resource allocation, implement tools and policies, and evaluate performance
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• At least 15 years of experience in the tech industry
• Proven track record of success in leading large-scale projects and teams
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with excellent problem-solving abilities
• Technical expertise in multiple programming languages and GenAI
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment or similar setting
• Strong hands-on coding skills and experience with microservices development
• Familiarity with agile methodologies like Scrum and (A)TDD
• Strong understanding of business processes and team building

We’re Wix’s IT System team. We’re an innovative, dynamic team who are focused on security and available, scalable, and performant microservices. We use cutting-edge technologies such as OPA, Terraform, Kubernetes, Istio, and Argo to solve complex problems related to distributed systems. We’re responsible for shaping the architecture of our backend microservices with a focus on complexity and security.
