We are searching for an experienced JavaScript Developer to join our Player team and directly impact the operations, engineering and delivery of our core product. 

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be leading the design, development and optimization of our next generation video player library. In this role, you’ll be responsible for implementing and optimizing video and ad tech features, improving architecture, writing tests and supporting our customers playback issues.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom JavaScript video players for various platforms and browsers
• Actively contribute to the overall development, design and architecture of our core product
• Implement and optimize video and playback features using multiple player engines
• Integrate and optimize video advertisement solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve playback and advertisement issues
• Optimize video and advertisement performance for different devices and network conditions

Requirements

• +4 years consecutive experience as a software developer - preferably in JS / Typescript
• Experience developing micro services architecture
• Excellent eye for good code architecture and clean code - very detail oriented on what's relevant
• Experience in multimedia frameworks and protocols, such as MPEG-DASH and HLS
• Hands-on experience developing in multiple code stacks (mobile, web, backend, DB, infrastructure - advantage)
• Knowledge of video codecs, streaming protocols, and adaptive bitrate streaming - advantage 
• Superb communication and interpersonal skills
