The Group

The Sensor Algorithms group is responsible for developing algorithmic solutions for various types of image sensors in different markets including Mobile, Automotive and AR/VR.

The FEISP R&D team is responsible for designing and implementing image processing algorithms allowing Samsung sensors to produce superior image quality. Our algorithms are based on a solid understanding of the different aspects of image sensor structure and operation – from the optics to the pixel structure and analog circuitry. As a part of Samsung’s R&D center, the team also continuously researches and explores new features and capabilities at different scales, that will open up new sensor types and markets.

What will you do?

  • Develop algorithms and system level solutions to be integrated in Samsung’s sensors.
  • Research and develop image processing solutions, based on an understanding of CMOS image sensor operation, and considering RTL constraints.
  • Support the implementation of your algorithms in RTL, as well as their bring-up, calibration, and fine-tuning in the final product.
  • Produce research and/or analysis reports which will be shared with Samsung HQ in Korea and other Samsung sites worldwide.
  • Leverage your knowledge and expertise to support other engineers both within the team and across teams.



Requirements

  • BSc/MSc degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics
  • 5+ years of experience in image processing and/or signal processing
  • Programming experience in Python and/or C
  • Passion for problem solving
  • Strong attention to detail and experience in handling various constraints simultaneously
  • “Can do” attitude, creativity, and hunger to push one’s boundaries
  • Fluency in English
