About the position

Our Data Science team deals with the extremely challenging aspects of Salt’s cutting-edge solution. From inventing and validating new algorithms to delivering advanced insights and analytics, we use our data to level up the security we provide to our customers. Building advanced ML pipelines alongside keeping our models and algorithms at the state of the art is our continuous challenge. Together with our super-talented engineering team, we set the industry bar for AI-based API security.

We are looking for a passionate Data Engineer to help our growing data science team face the biggest challenges in the fields of API discovery and API attack prevention.

The role includes writing and maintaining code for all stages of our ML and DL model's lifecycle (data collection, EDA, training, model performance, serving, monitoring, etc.) as well as building infrastructure for interacting with large language models (LLMs) and other modern AI frameworks (assistants, Co-Pilots, etc.)

Who are you?

• 3+ years of Software Engineering experience (preferred: python, GO, Scala / Java, SQL)
• Experience with data pipelines / big-data analytics - Spark, Kafka, etc.
• Experience with databases - MongoDB, Athena, Cassandra, etc.
• Self-learner, motivated, and able to quickly learn new technologies
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent), or relevant military background
• Experience with statistical and machine learning tools and frameworks - advantage (Tensorflow, sklearn, pandas, numpy, MLFlow, AWS)
