What is the job:
Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable Java applications.
- Implement new features and enhance existing ones for our cloud-based DDoS protection products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with team members.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in production and non-production environments.
- Optimize application performance and ensure security best practices are followed.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Document development processes, architecture, and code.
What you need:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of professional experience in Java development.
- Strong proficiency in Java, with a good understanding of its ecosystems.
- Experience with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Proficient in working with MongoDB and understanding of NoSQL databases.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its services.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles, specifically related to DDoS protection.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
How can you stand out:
Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of network security.
- Certifications in Java, GCP, or cybersecurity would be a plus.
