What is the job:

Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable Java applications.

• Implement new features and enhance existing ones for our cloud-based DDoS protection products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with team members.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in production and non-production environments.
• Optimize application performance and ensure security best practices are followed.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Document development processes, architecture, and code.
  
  

What you need:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of professional experience in Java development.
• Strong proficiency in Java, with a good understanding of its ecosystems.
• Experience with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Proficient in working with MongoDB and understanding of NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its services.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, specifically related to DDoS protection.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  
  

How can you stand out:

Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of network security.
• Certifications in Java, GCP, or cybersecurity would be a plus.
