StarkWare is a fast-growing five-year-old startup leading the way in scaling Ethereum. It has built the SaaS platform StarkEx and the permissionless network StarkNet. As Layer 2 solutions over Ethereum, they retain Ethereum’s security while scaling by orders of magnitude. Adoption is fast, and StarkEx today processes more transactions than all other ‘Layer 2’ solutions combined. StarkNet (Alpha) is a decentralized permissionless Validity-Rollup. Both solutions are based on STARKs, a cryptographic system pioneered at StarkWare.

Join our DevOps group

As a cloud services team leader, you will lead our DevOps production team and be responsible for the day-to-day operations and automation of our Saas environments.

You will be

• Overseeing software upgrades, patches, and system maintenance to ensure optimal performance, cost and operation
• Develop and implement automation solutions to streamline operational tasks and improve efficiency.
• Lead the incident response efforts, ensuring rapid resolution of issues and minimizing downtime.
• Establish and maintain robust observability capabilities for SaaS environments.
• Promote and enforce best practices to ensure our strict SLA and Uptime requirements.

This role involves interacting with many people at StarkWare (especially all our engineering and DevOps teams).

The right candidate:

• Has at least 5 years of experience in cloud environments, including DevOps experience.
• Has at least 2 years of experience in managing a team
• Is experienced with cloud platforms (preference for GCP and AWS)
• Has customer-facing expertise and excellent communication skills
• Is familiar with Kubernetes, Docker, or similar container technologies
• Well-versed in the Linux operating system.
• Is curious by nature and a quick learner

Ideally experienced with:

• Has an academic degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• Monitoring / Alerting Infrastructure (Kibana, Graphana, Prometheus, OpsGenie etc)
• NoSQL data store (AeroSpike, Redis, RedShift, etc.)
• Working in a startup environment
• Blockchain technologies and applications
