We are looking for a passionate and established algorithms researcher with exceptional research skills in the fields of Computer Vision and Machine Learning.
As principal researcher you will guide the computer vision group through all stages of algorithms development from applied research through productization and all the way to delivery, while addressing matters like human interaction (hands, eyes, voice etc.), object and moving targets detection & tracking, scene understanding, 6DOF estimation and more.
Responsibilities
- Hands on algorithmic research of the company's entire algo stack - System algorithms, Computer vision, Behavioral & Control, User Intent and more.
- Mentor and guide algorithm engineers in R&D
- Technical ownership of the Algo R&D plan
- Examples: Hand Tracking optimizations, Interactions (gestures etc.), object tracking, SLAM, 6DOF estimation, etc.
- Algo stack runs in realtime on heterogeneous compute platforms - Laptop, Mobile, Cloud
- Data definition & collection - Real & Synthetic: inhouse, open solution and outsource
- Productization of the entire algo stack through rigorous testing, alpha & beta sites etc.
- Collaborate with a highly cross-functional team optimizing product performance: Product Management, Technologies, Design UX/UI, Software etc.
Requirements:
- At least 10 years of experience in Systems and Algo domains
- At least an M.Sc. in: Image Processing, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Mathematics or EE.
- Computer Vision know-how including Classical and Deep learning techniques
- Up to date academic knowledge of state-of-the-art and trends in computer vision and deep learning architectures and techniques
- Strong mathematical background
- At least two years of tech leadership research experience
- Outstanding communication skills
Preferred Experience
- Ph.D in: Image Processing, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Mathematics or EE
- Hands on experience developing SLAM or at least 6DoF systems
- Experience developing algo for AR/VR
- Human-machine Interactions know-how
- Experience with LLMs and AI agents engineering
