As a Systems Software Engineer at Wiliot, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and implementation of software tools and solutions that drive our IoT platform forward. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to tackle challenging problems, spanning both hardware and software domains. This role demands a proactive individual with strong technical expertise and a passion for delivering scalable and innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement software tools essential for Wiliot’s IoT platform, ensuring robustness, scalability, and usability.
- Design and develop new tools and testers, including SDKs and firmware, to support various aspects of our product ecosystem.
- Architect solutions for complex technical challenges, integrating hardware and software components effectively.
- Collaborate closely with Wiliot's teams to define requirements, propose solutions, and deliver optimal outcomes aligned with business objectives.
- Utilize strong coding skills in Python and C to develop efficient and high-performance software tools.
- Independently manage multiple tasks and projects, demonstrating exceptional independence and multitasking capabilities.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in software development to incorporate cutting-edge technologies into our solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in software development, with proficiency in Python and C programming languages.
- Strong coding skills and experience with embedded software development.
- Experience with Python applications for interfacing with laboratory equipment.
- Familiarity with parallel computing techniques and real-time applications is preferred.
- RF lab experiment experience is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills and a creative approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage time and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
