Data One group is seeking a hands on team lead who can drive our data engineering team forward. We're looking for a talented and experienced data engineering team lead to oversee the design, development, and deployment of large-scale data pipelines and architectures.

What will your job look like?

• Design and implement large-scale data pipelines: Design and implement scalable data pipelines that can handle high volumes of data. Work with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and develop data pipelines that meet business needs.
• Lead and manage a team of data engineers:Lead and manage a team of data engineers, providing guidance and mentorship to help them grow in their careers. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Participate in hands on development with the team
• Develop and maintain data architectures:Develop and maintain data architectures that meet business needs. Work with stakeholders to identify data requirements and develop data architectures that meet those needs.
• Work with Flink or other streaming technologies: Work with Flink or other streaming technologies to develop real-time data pipelines. Develop and implement data streaming solutions that meet business needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams:Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data science, product, and business teams, to identify data requirements and develop data solutions that meet business needs.
• Ensure data quality and security: Ensure data quality and security by developing and implementing data validation, data cleansing, and data security protocols.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to develop innovative data solutions.
  
  

All you need is...

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering: 8+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on large-scale data pipelines and architectures.
• Experience in developing enterprise grade platforms as a product, serving multiple customers.
• Experience with Flink or other streaming technologies: Experience with Flink or other streaming technologies, such as Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, and Apache Storm.
• Experience with database technologies such as cassandra/syclladb , analytical databases
• Experience with data lake technologies such as blob storage, lakehouse formats
• Experience leading and managing teams: Experience leading and managing teams of data engineers, with a focus on developing and mentoring team members.
• Strong programming skills: Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Scala, and Python.
• Experience with data architecture: Experience with data architecture, including data warehousing, data lakes, and data streaming.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field: Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with cloud-based data technologies: Experience with cloud-based data technologies, such as AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, and Google Cloud Dataflow.
• Certification in data engineering or related field: Certification in data engineering or related field, such as Certified Data Engineer or Certified Big Data Engineer.
