Prisma Photonics, a fast-growing startup, transforms infrastructure monitoring with optical fibers. We eliminate the need for extra sensors by offering sensor-free solutions to monitor electrical power grids and oil & gas pipelines across thousands of kilometers.

Our fiber-sensing technology, integrated with AI and machine learning, enables our customers to achieve environmental and renewable energy targets, ensuring smooth utility operations on their path to net-zero emissions.

We are looking for the best minds and spirits to join us in our journey. We know our product is only as great as the individuals building the hardware and software and harnessing data for good causes. Being a great team member means being eager to learn and grow, able to challenge while accepting being challenged, and working for the team and the product with enthusiasm and passion.

We are now hiring a talented Data Analyst, preferably a student, to be a part of our customer solutions data analyst team. As a data analyst, you will work on analyzing and tagging data in various formats, identifying anomalies, and formulating our newly developed data tagging mechanism. This position will be a great fit for hardworking and curious engineering or exact science students who are not afraid of large datasets and precise work.

Responsibilities:

  • Find patterns and anomalies in the data using different data research software.
  • Create technical reports for customers based on insights from the data.
  • Compile a database of signature files for future reference and as a dataset for learning algorithms (to be developed).
  • Support Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) sprints for data from field experiments.
  • Bonus: Assist in the support and development of internal code and analytical tools for EDA.

Requirements:

  • Student in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) subject, preferably in the third semester of BSc studies and beyond.

Advantages:

  • Previous experience working with and compiling data libraries (advantageous).
  • Some experience writing scripts and small projects in Python (advantageous).
  • Experience working with a version control system (e.g., Git) (advantageous).
