Position Overview
As a DevOps Engineer at Nano-X Imaging, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our CI/CD pipelines, managing our Azure-based cloud infrastructure, and ensuring the efficient operation of our Kubernetes clusters in support of our critical medical devices. You will be a part of a cross-functional team to guarantee the reliability, scalability, and security of our infrastructure.
Responsibilities
· Lead the design, implementation, and management of CI/CD pipelines for our medical device software applications.
· Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps best practices into the software development lifecycle for medical devices.
· Oversee and optimize Azure-based cloud infrastructure for high availability, performance, and cost-efficiency in the medical device context.
· Deploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters to support containerized applications for medical devices.
· Automate tasks and processes through scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) and infrastructure as code (IaC).
· Proactively identify and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues, ensuring the reliability and safety of medical devices.
· Enforce security best practices for both infrastructure and applications to meet stringent regulatory requirements.
· Foster collaboration and maintain effective communication with cross-functional teams, including regulatory and quality assurance departments.
· Stay updated on industry trends and continually improve DevOps practices for medical device development.
Requiements
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
· 3+ years of experience in a DevOps role or related field, with a background in medical device development being highly advantageous.
· Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, including Azure DevOps Services, with a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape for medical devices.
· Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies, with a focus on Kubernetes and its application in medical device contexts.
· Advanced scripting and automation skills using tools like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
· Deep understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with related tools (e.g., Azure Pipelines CI/CD).
· Proficiency with infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and tools (e.g. ARM templates, helm manifests).
· Solid knowledge of networking and security concepts, particularly as they relate to medical device cybersecurity.
· Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset, with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
· Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
· Azure and Kubernetes certifications are a significant advantage.
