Job Essence: Meta-Material Computational Physics Simulation & Research in the field of Electromagnetics


About FVMat: We are a deep-tech Israeli startup specializing in novel Meta-Materials for Aerospace & premium Automotive industries. Our expertise lies in developing computational tools for design, simulations, and optimization in Multi-Physics, Electromagnetics & Optics. Our Meta-Materials possess unique physical properties, not found in nature, adaptable to external conditions, multi-functional & and dynamically controllable.


Your Role: As a key member of our team, you will contribute to pioneering R&D that aims to redefine materials engineering. Along with hands-on Simulations and Scripting, a substantial portion of the work is Research. We seek an individual who will not only develop but also Significantly Advance the field of Electromagnetic Meta-Materials, and also Lead our company's Electromagnetics research and development.


What you will be doing:

  • Hands-on Research & Development in Electromagnetics and Optics, employing computational physics simulations for 5G technology in Electromagnetics and Optics, employing computational physics simulations for 5G technology
  • Computational modeling of high-resolution Electromagnetic Meta-Material CAE/FEM simulations
  • Sensitivity analysis & Parametric studies using and high power computing to create large data sets
  • Scripting using Python for automating the procedures creating models and output extraction 
  • Post-process, extract, and analyze dominant parameters
  • Utilize Machine Learning for modeling Meta-Material unit-cells (“meta-atoms” or RVEs) and for optimizing Meta-Material microstructures, both topologically and beyond
  • Collaborate with leading researchers and companies in the Meta-Materials field


Requirements:

  • PhD or MSc or experienced BSc in Physics / Electrical Eng. or Mechanical/Aerospace Eng. with some background in Electromagnetics/Optics related fields
  • Strong capabilities in performing CAE/FEM simulations in Electromagnetics – Must
  • Python/Matlab Scripting – Must
  • Experience in Ansys – Big Advantage
  • ML experience – Advantage
  • Experience in CAE/FEM in Optics simulations – Advantage
  • Experience in CAE/FEM in Multi-Physics simulations – Advantage
