Our team is actively searching for a hardworking Firmware Engineer III to join our engineering team and be responsible for designing and implementing our next generation telematics software products. What You'll Do

• Contribute to the software lifecycle supporting all phases of project development including requirements, design, implementation, and integration
• Collaborate with the hardware and cloud software teams to integrate and debug systems
• Partner with firmware quality assurance engineers to develop device system testing procedures, programs, and documentation
• Perform software development primarily in C and C++
• Develop in both kernel and user space, low level and application level for our embedded Linux platform
• Continuously innovate as Lytx pushes to our goal of 10M fielded Video Telematics Recorders
  
  

What You'll Need

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of related experience developing commercial products
• Solid programming skills in C++ and C
• Experience with Linux systems
• Experience with Yocto Linux or any other embedded Linux a big plus
• Proficiency with Linux driver development a plus
• Experience in the automotive industry a plus
• Proficiency with Android development is a plus
• Understanding of IPC, interrupts and multithreading
• Operates in an open and collaborative environment
• Demonstrates strong analytical, time-management, problem-solving and decision making abilities
• Proven ability to produce work with limited supervision
• Ability to work in a fast moving environment with tolerance of ambiguity
• Great team member. Strong team orientation.
