SENIOR MACHINE LEARNING ENGINEER

Chegg’s Machine Learning (ML) Organization Has a Growing Impact Across The Company’s Offerings Via a Variety Of Projects Including

• Personalization of student experiences
• Understanding and generation of multi-modal educational content
• Search and information retrieval
• Predictive analytics
  
  

Our growing ML team focuses on creating new student experiences via natural language understanding and generation. As a part of our work, we leverage cutting-edge methods in large language models and reinforcement learning.

The Role

Recent advances in Natural Language Generation enable creating significantly better learning experiences for our students. To realize this opportunity, we are seeking to hire an expert in Applied ML who would help us build big and challenging projects.

In This Role, You Will Be

• Leading the design and implementation of complex ML models and systems.
• Analyzing complex datasets to improve our understanding of which data our systems are seeing and what they are doing with it.
• Working with engineering and product teams to integrate our systems into the company’s products.
• Building scalable infrastructure for training and serving very large models
• Researching methods and building tools for offline and online evaluation of models
  
  

You May Be a Good Fit If You

• Have a track record of leading challenging applied ML projects to success.
• Can work effectively with stakeholders.
• Are an experienced software developer, fluent in both the Python and Java languages and the tool ecosystems around them.
• Have an in-depth knowledge of machine-learning principles, methods, and tools and also of the software engineering disciplines needed to build a production ML system.
