About the Role:

  • Be part of our growing risk fraud analytics and automation group and help build fraud prevention mechanisms in a new domain.
  • Full responsibility for the process and guidance of designing and implementing scalable and efficient end-to-end automated decision processes to mitigate fraud and compliance risk.
  • Lead and guide the team on code standards, testing, and automation flows using Python.
  • Translating business and analytics requirements into specifications for the engineering teams.
  • Lead projects focused on fraud prevention and risk mitigation while understanding Bluevine’s business objectives and enabling the product’s growth.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to detect high-risk payments and identify fraud patterns.
  • Presenting findings and building methods to both technical and non-technical managers and teams in Bluevine.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience programming in Python in a production setting.
  • 1+ years of experience in data analytics using SQL or Pandas.
  • 5+ years of experience in a tech/analytics environment.
  • Committed to high coding standards: testing, readability, standardization, modularity, etc.
  • Thorough understanding of Git/GitHub
  • Able to focus and deep-dive on parts of a pipeline but also to view and understand the bigger picture
  • Exceptional communication skills, ability to collaborate smoothly with and convey complex ideas in a clear way to people of different backgrounds.
  • Ability to quickly and independently learn new technologies and frameworks.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or above in a quantitative field (i.e Computer science, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, etc.).
  • Excellent spoken and written English.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with AWS AI ecosystem (e.g. SageMaker), Airflow and container technology (e.g. Docker, K8S).
  • Developing rule-based automation.
  • Background in Statistics.
  • Experience in SQL.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience in the payments\fraud domain.
  • Familiarity with the financial market.
