About the Role:

As the Head of Development, you will own all R&D activities in the company and play a significant role in shaping the future of our application and technology stack while leading our super-talented team of developers. You will be a actively contributing to the development process while managing the R&D group and the development work plans, activities and deliveries. You will provide the development team direction and guidance, and ensure high quality, timely deliveries.

Responsibilities:

• Own the development processes and work plans, lead and manage a group of software developers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Architect and design scalable, efficient, and secure web applications, internal applications and data retrieval and analysis pipelines.
• Manage all Saas environments including live Production environments. 
• Monitor System Performance and Security and actively initiating and promoting performance and security oriented tasks. 
• Oversee the implementation of best practices for development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Help the team develop high quality, clean, and maintainable code, using JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, and relevant frameworks as Angular and Nest.js.
• Own, manage and optimize our development environment in AWS, including k8s and Docker containers.
• Own Entrio’s GIT repositories and work closely with the Devops team to ensure development processes and CI/CD pipelines are optimized.
• Identify and implement new technologies and methods that can enhance our development process and products.
• Collaborate with the product team to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and advancements in web development, internal operations tools and data technologies.
• Mentor and coach team members, helping them develop their technical skills and ensure they are on track with all their responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in software development, from which, at least 4 in development leadership positions in startup companies.
• Experience with designing, developing and scaling complex web applications and data centric solutions
• Can-Do approach and ability to see an end to end process, alongside with the expertise to dive into development details and issues.  
• Proven track record of leading high-performing development teams, in fast pace startup organizations, using agile development methodologies, from project initiation all the way to full scale deployments. 
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, and delegate effectively.
• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, including Angular and Nest.js, as well as AWS environment.
• Ability to dive into existing code, understand, instruct developers to improve and refactor.
• Ability to execute in a fast paced environment, working in strict timelines and under pressure.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for building innovative and user-centric products.

Bonus points:

• IDF technological unit background is a Big Plus. 
• Experience in Generative AI applications, including prompt engineering, prompt orchestration and RAG. 
• Experience with other relevant web development frameworks and libraries.
• Experience leading and participating in DevOps initiatives.
• Experience with Logging platforms as DataDog.
