Guardoc is an early-stage startup committed to transforming clinical documentation compliance. Our innovative platform scrutinizes clinical charts within healthcare providers' Electronic Health Records (EHR), utilizing AI to mirror the critical thinking of nursing professionals. Our goal is to fortify clinical documentation for compliance and reimbursement, enhance patient care, and provide in-depth insights from medical data, guided by nursing literature, protocols, and real-world evidence.

We are looking for a skilled backend engineer to lead the development of our backend infrastructure and EHR integrations. This key role involves building large-scale, cloud-based systems, integrating diverse data sources, and engaging in database modeling and data engineering. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in developing cloud-based backends using Python/Django and be adept at transforming complex system requirements into effective software solutions.

• Collaborate with the CTO and product team to convert system requirements into software architecture and designs.
• Develop and maintain the backend infrastructure, database models, APIs, and integrations.
• Spearhead security and data privacy initiatives, fostering best practices in secure software and data handling.
  

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in developing large-scale, cloud-based backend systems.
• Strong expertise in AWS, Python, and Django.
• Demonstrated ability to lead backend projects from inception to deployment.
• Proficiency in data engineering; knowledge of EHR systems and healthcare data is beneficial.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication abilities, with the skill to articulate complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders
