As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Compete, you’ll be responsible for leading the development and optimization of systems that provide the greatest user experience. Key responsibilities within this role include architecting and implementing a high-scale front-end for SaaS applications while ensuring world-class product quality.

The ideal candidate will work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to understand and fulfill business needs and cases through innovative design solutions. This person is a pivotal member of our team, entrusted with ensuring Compete maintains the highest levels of quality and delivers an exceptional product daily to our customers.

What you’ll do:

• Lead the design, implementation, and deployment of features and user interfaces of a SaaS platform using the latest frontend technologies and frameworks.
• Architect and build well-designed, reusable, and tested web infrastructure components that interact with multiple services and backends.
• Drive design and architecture sessions, promoting best practices and innovations in web development.
• Identify and tackle performance and scalability issues, optimizing the application for speed and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Designers, Software Engineers, QA, and DevOps to ensure project success and team alignment.

What you need:

• 5+ years of experience as a front-end developer, with a proven track record of successful projects.
• Expertise in client-side technologies including HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.
• Proficient with advanced front-end frameworks such as Angular 2+, and familiar with modern software development practices.
• Experience with RxJS
• Leadership experience or strong collaboration skills to guide a team of developers.

Nice to have:

• Experience with server-side programming, particularly Node.js.
• Familiarity with cloud services and infrastructure.
• Experience with CI/CD
