We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Lead to spearhead the development of our next-generation Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulation solutions. In this critical role, you will drive the creation of a robust HIL platform delivered as a SaaS offering, ensuring robust performance, accelerated validation of our computer vision and ADAS technology, and high availability. Your deep understanding of system-level architecture, embedded systems, backend development, and designing always-up services, combined with strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, will be vital for success.

What will your job look like:

• Create and maintain a scalable, cutting-edge HIL simulation environment integrating diverse hardware and software components. Architect the system with a focus on reliability, redundancy, and self-healing capabilities.
• Work closely with FPGA engineers to understand FPGA designs, interfaces, and timing requirements to successfully integrate them into the HIL environment.
• Understand complex system interactions across multiple domains (vision, sensor fusion, vehicle dynamics) to architect HIL test suites for comprehensive system validation.
• Develop robust Python-based backend infrastructure for the HIL platform, handling test case management, data logging, analysis, and integration with automated workflows. Design and implement scalable solutions leveraging distributed systems or cloud architecture to support SaaS models, ensuring high availability.
• Leverage proficiency in networking, video processing, and C++ to integrate diverse domains and tools within the HIL ecosystem.
• Proactively collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., hardware, software, validation) to align on HIL requirements, schedules, and ensure timely achievement of goals.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to HIL engineers, fostering knowledge-sharing and a collaborative work environment.
  
  

All you need is:

• BS/MS Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• 5+ years of proven experience in HIL development, embedded systems, or a relevant engineering field, with a demonstrated track record of building highly available services.
• FPGA Understanding: Strong understanding of FPGA concepts, capabilities, and interface requirements for integration into complex systems.
• Backend Virtuoso: Strong Python development skills and experience building backend systems for automation and data management. Experience with distributed systems or cloud architecture (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• System-Level Thinker: Excellent understanding of complex system architectures and interactions within embedded and simulation environments.
• C++, Networking, Video Savvy: Strong grasp of C++, network protocols, and video processing fundamentals.
• Computer Vision Advantage: Prior experience with computer vision algorithms and their application is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and drive consensus among stakeholders.
