Cortex XDR is the world’s first detection and response app that natively integrates network, endpoint and cloud data to stop sophisticated attacks. Cortex XDR accurately detects threats with behavioral analytics and reveals the root cause to speed up investigations. Tight integration with enforcement points accelerates containment, enabling you to stop attacks before the damage is done.

We are a SaaS cloud-native application that is using the most advanced and powerful technologies out there to deliver and innovate fast, with attention to details, and quality. We are inventing new products, going on unexplored territories and pushing forward - one of these new territories is figuring out how we can deploy our application on customers’ premises - entering you.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal Software engineer that has experience in building large-scale Kubernetes based on-premises infrastructure. A person who can lead technically and innovate, from whom we can learn and who will be a great team member that we will enjoy working with.

Your Impact

• Design and build a highly scalable solution, capable of running complex applications on premises
• Take responsibility and lead the development of multiple components of the system in a dynamic environment
• Produce elegant and testable code
• Actively influence the product and the team by being a focal point and knowledge expert in one of the most important components of the product
  
  

Qualifications

Your Experience

• Demonstrated experience developing Kubernetes based on premises solutions - Must
• Experience with data-oriented technologies such as Pub/Sub, Kinesis, Casandra, Redis, BigQuery, Redshift etc - Must
• Go, Python - big Advantage
• Knowledge of Networking and Operating Systems fundamentals - big advantage
• Experience with cloud computing technologies (GCP preferred) - advantage
• A motivated, problem solver with a great attitude towards work and people
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

The Team

To stay ahead of the curve, it’s critical to know where the curve is, and how to anticipate the changes we’re facing. For the fastest growing cybersecurity company, the curve is the evolution of cyberattacks, and the products and services that proactively address them. Our team helps us do just that.

The team will be highly technical and will build enablement material that will be consumed by multiple teams in and outside of Palo Alto Networks. It includes, but not limited to, demo environments, deep technical presentations, webinars, guides, and more. The team will work closely with product and engineering as the products are being developed and will build content that will align with the our release cadences to ensure that the various teams in the company have everything they need to succeed.
