Sentra is on a mission to enable cloud-driven organizations to regain control and secure their full data lifecycle. We are a fast-growing start-up company, located in Tel Aviv (near a train station) with a very strong founding team. We are looking to hire a talented and experienced Backend Software Engineer for our Data Detection & Response product to join us and be a part of the company’s early stage core team.
The Detection team is composed of talented Backend Engineers and is responsible for building our real-time threat detection product, analyzing events at hyper-high scale and looking for malicious activity that can harm Sentra users. You will be working with other R&D teams, researchers, product managers, and designers.
As a Software Engineer in Sentra you will:
- Designing and implementing core components within the detection architecture, including microservices, ETLs, and core libraries.
- Planning and implementing the rollout, testing and monitoring of features deployed to production end to end.
- Conducting design and code reviews with the other team members.
- Analytical approach for scale, optimizations and data-driven decisions.
- Drive and passion for pushing cross R&D-product workflows and initiatives.
To be a Software Engineer in Sentra you need:
- 4+ years experience in software development with Python, Typescript, or Javascript.
- In-depth understanding of modern SaaS application architecture and best practices.
- Proficient experience with relational database management systems.
- Demonstrated capability in working within a microservices architecture and cloud-native environments, preferably with AWS.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience is required.
- Self-motivated with a passionate approach to work.
Advantages
- Familiarity with frameworks such as Nest.JS and FastAPI.
- Knowledge in the Cyber Security or Data Security domain.
- Experience with detection and response platforms, like XDR or EDR.
