The role

Kaltura is looking for a sharp minded, fast learner, bug hunter, out of the box thinker QA Automation Engineer. The product – the core of the OTT| cloud TV platform.

As a QA Automation Developer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through the design, development, and execution of automated test scripts. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify test scenarios, create test cases, and implement automated testing solutions.


The day-to-day:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Implement and enhance test frameworks to ensure scalability and maintainability.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements and design specifications.
  • Execute automated test suites, identify and troubleshoot issues by collaborating with development teams to isolate problems and implement solutions.
  • Report and track defects using Jira.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate automation tools and frameworks based on project requirements and technology stack.


Ideally, we’re looking for:

  • 2+ years of experience in software development or quality assurance, with a focus on test automation.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools such as TestNG, JUnit or similar
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
  • Ability to write and maintain clean, efficient, and reusable code for test automation.


These would also be nice:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in automation testing (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
