Job Description

This position is for a Burn-in Test Program Development Engineer in the Manufacturing and Product Engineering, MPE, within the Design Engineering Group, DEG.

In this role, you will be expected to be a part of and participate in global PDE teams in developing BI test programs to enable Technology Development process

development and Intel's product roadmap for products on lead process technologies.

This role is a combination of hardware and software responsibilities that has visibility and interaction with multiple areas within Intel.

In This Role Responsibilities Include, Although Not Limited To

  • Ensure the testability and manufacturability of integrated circuits from the component feasibility stage through production ramp.
  • Evaluate, develop and debug of complex test methods.
  • Develop and debug complex software programs to convert design validation vectors and drive complex test equipment.
  • Create and test validation and production test hardware solutions.
  • Analyse and evaluate component specification versus performance to ensure optimal match of component requirements with production equipment capability with specific emphasis on yield analysis and bin split capability.
  • Analyse early customer returns with emphasis on driving test hole closure activities.
  • Create and apply concepts for optimizing component production relative to both quality and cost constraints.
  • Autonomously plans and schedules own daily tasks, develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.
  • Solve problems with sound logical thinking and logical analysis.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must possess a bachelor’s OR master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science or a related field with 2+ years of experience.

  • Statistical analysis and characterization of semiconductor products.
  • Automated Test Equipment.
  • Digital/Analog electronic circuits.
  • Electrical measurement techniques and tools used in the analog circuit debug and lab bench work e.g. Oscilloscopes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of one or more of the following is an advantage: VB script/C/C++/C#
  • knowledge/experience on PYTHON/PERL3/UNIX.
  • Detail knowledge of digital logic, Microprocessor's architecture, and DFT.
  • Design-for Burn-IN features understanding is a plus.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
