We are leading the effort to position Intel's technologies at the core of an emerging market with a unique vision.We are looking for passionate individuals with extensive engineering knowledge who enjoy taking initiative and find the world of autonomous systems fascinating.About the role:We're tackling the challenge of delivering a reliable navigation system in dynamic, high-variance environments, relying on computer vision solutions as building blocks for our perception and safety systems.As a computer vision engineer, you will take part in developing autonomous platforms and sensors. You'll collaborate with an open-minded team to explore innovative solutions, tap into academia and open-source resources, and harness real-world and simulated data for training. This entails addressing challenges that arise in large-scale production environments and handling all the nuances involved.Day to day activities:- Solving open-end problems in the fields of object detection, safety, SLAM, obstacle detection, depth estimation and perception using classical and machine learning approaches.- Validating and collecting data for your algorithms.- Designing mixed optical and inertial calibration systems.- Contribute to the maintenance, testing, and deployment of our platforms.
Qualifications
Qualifications: - BS, or MS or PhD in CS, Math, Physics, Engineering from a leading institute - 5+ years of hand-on computer vision expertise - 3+ years of experience writing in C++ and working experience with Python What makes you a strong fit: - Proven ability to take initiative, define a solution, and own its implementation from requirements to deployment - Sense of responsibility for writing clear, maintainable code using relevant design patterns. - Visual SLAM, SfM or tracking experience - Experience with depth cameras - Object detection and recognition - Stereo and depth estimation - Experience in deploying deep neural networks with OpenVINO - Knowledge and proven ability to implement scientific papers in the fields of CV - Experience with the following tools: PCL, PyTorch , oneAPI, ROS2, g2o

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
