Job Description

This is an internship position for SW development student, at Intel Pin Team,

for period of 3-6 months.

Who are we?

Intel Pin is a SW Toolkit used by hundreds of customers who requires reliable and convenient implementation of binary-level instrumentation for purposes of

profiling, simulation, emulation, and others.

As An Intern At Intel Pin Team, You Will

• Extend Intel Pin to support high-level program symbol manipulation.
• Design and implement an API for accessing symbol table from Intel Pin tool, implement a library supporting the API on Linux, and demonstrate the use of the API for high-level program object profiling and programmatic debugging.
• Use the API to implement an argument differencing tool comparing CUDA binaries and corresponding SYCL binaries.
  
  

Qualifications

• An active student during BSc/MSc study in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• Must have finished a course on compiler theory and practice.
• Demonstrated programming skills in C/C++.
• Available to work 2-3 days a week for at least 6-12 months.

Preferred Qualifications

• Implementation of a complete compiler even for a toy language.
• Experience with writing Pin tools.
• Knowledge of how debuggers work.
• Knowledge of DWARF and Unwind libraries on Linux.
• Strong communications skills, strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, be proactive and innovative, and willing to take risks and initiative.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
