Responsibilities:

  • Leading data science projects from inception to deployment, aligning them with business objectives.
  • Researching to explore innovative data science methodologies and technologies.
  • Collaborating closely with stakeholders and product development teams to implement data-driven strategies.
  • Continuously enhancing existing machine learning models and data processes.
  • Effectively communicating insights and recommendations to stakeholders while guiding data-related decision-making.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Advanced degree in computer science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, data science, statistics, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in data science and machine learning, particularly in NLP, Feed Forward Networks, CNNs, RNNs, LSTM, Autoencoder, Variational AEs, GANs, and proficiency in Python, along with a strong understanding of SQL.
  • Deep expertise in AI architectures, including transformers, GPT architectures, and foundational principles underlying Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Proficiency in fine-tuning techniques for GPT-based LLMs such as LoRA, QLoRA, QA-LoRA, LoftQ, etc.
  • Mastery of evaluating generative models, including metrics specific to generative models like BLEU, Perplexity, ROUGE, Coherence, METEOR, and BERTscore, and creating new metrics if necessary.
  • Capability to develop and implement robust evaluation tools for assessing the quality, precision, logic, and stability of generated text, summaries, and recommendations.
  • Understanding of hardware relevant to training AI models, optimizations, and other techniques, including quantum computing, if applicable.
  • Experience in overseeing data-centric projects and translating insights into business decisions.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to propose innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Proficiency in critically analyzing results and methodologies to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Strong communication skills and mentorship abilities.

Job Requirements

  • A classical education in computer science, mathematics, artificial intelligence, or data science.
  • Minimum of 8 years of industry experience in data science.
  • In-depth understanding of Generative AI, encompassing architecture, transformers, GPT architectures, and Large Language Models (LLMs) development.
  • Proficiency in transfer learning techniques, including fine-tuning, and the ability to differentiate between fine-tuning and using RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) with or without vector databases.
  • Ability to quickly grasp and analyze academic papers, staying updated with the latest advancements in the field.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to view systems holistically and build architectural pipelines in machine learning development.
  • Deep Neural Networks: Solid knowledge and experience in working with deep neural networks.
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering and recognizing its limitations in addressing complex Generative AI challenges.
  • Capability to develop and implement robust evaluation tools to assess the quality, precision, logic, and stability of generated text, summaries, and recommendations.
  • Understanding hardware related to training AI models, optimizations, and other techniques.

Required Experience

  • Proven track record of applying data science in a specific industry (e.g., finance, healthcare, technology).
  • Experience in managing large-scale data science projects.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, big data technologies, and other relevant software and tools.
  • Understanding data privacy, security, and ethical considerations in AI and machine learning.
  • Develop and execute data analysis and modeling strategies to support key business initiatives.
  • Design and implement innovative machine learning models and algorithms for solving complex business problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze large datasets, interpret complex patterns and trends, and derive actionable insights using statistical analysis and data interpretation methods.
  • Leadership and collaboration with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders, to lead complex data-driven projects and ensure efficient teamwork.
  • Involvement in relevant research and contributions to notable publications in data science, machine learning, or related areas, showcasing thought leadership and expertise.
  • Applying data science to real-world business problems demonstrates the ability to translate technical solutions into tangible business value.
