About the Role:

As Bazel Lead at Incredibuild, you will spearhead the creation of a visionary architecture for our Bazel product from inception. You'll be the pioneering force in conceptualizing and building this product from scratch, having the unique opportunity to craft the vision, architecture, and roadmap.

What You'll Do:

• Formulate the strategic vision and architectural design of our Bazel product, establishing a blueprint for its development and future enhancements.
• Lead the end-to-end creation of the Bazel product, from conceptualization to implementation, while managing and guiding the team through various phases of development.
• Collaborate closely with product managers to align the product vision with market demands, ensuring it meets customer needs and industry standards.
• Hire, mentor, and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Harness your comprehensive understanding of Bazel, both as a user and in its internals and API, to drive innovation and solve complex challenges within our development environment.

What You'll Need:

• Extensive hands-on experience working with Bazel as a power user, or oversight a transition to Bazel, or an involved contributor to Bazel's project and ecosystem.
• Deep understanding of Bazel's architecture, components including RBE and Build Event
• Proven track record of creating and implementing strategic visions for software products from inception to deployment, ideally in a leadership capacity.
• Strong background in software development, and architecture, proficient in programming languages, version control systems, and CI/CD practices.
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to build, lead, and mentor a team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Outstanding problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving intricate challenges related to Bazel and its implementation
