QuantHealth, an innovative AI startup, treads new ground in the field of drug development and clinical trials. Our propriety clinical trial simulator formulates predictions by running multiple simulations in parallel, thereby mitigating risk and streamlining the design of future clinical trials. Built on an extensive dataset that encompasses 350M patient records and 100K medications, our robust system significantly slashes drug development costs and reduces time-to-market. With a strong venture-backed presence in Israel and a growing client base across Europe and the US, we present a sterling opportunity for a seasoned Data Scientist/ML Engineer looking to navigate the complexities of a rapidly-scaling startup atmosphere.

Job Summary:

Join the dynamic QuantHealth team as a Data Scientist/ML Engineer and play a pivotal role in revolutionizing healthcare analytics.

As an expert in deep learning, you will analyze and understand complicated patterns in very large sets of data, revealing important information about various drugs and how they interact with patients.

Your crucial role will require advanced command over Python and ML libraries. You'll have to design, refine, and scale ML models and pipelines, seamlessly transitioning from research innovation to robust, production-ready services. You will work closely with our Principal Algorithm Developer, a venerable Ph.D. in mathematics on the one hand, and one of our most Adept Senior Software Engineers on the other. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of the forefront of health technology and affect the lives of countless people.

Responsibilities:

  • Craft, enhance, and scale predictive models and data pipelines with tools like PySpark.
  • Specialize in deep learning techniques, particularly within the NLP (Natural Language Processing) and GNN (Graph Neural Networks) spheres.
  • Work through statistical methodologies for model validation and clinical trial design optimization.
  • Collaborate with a cohesive team to develop data analytics solutions for advanced simulation models.
  • Take part in the creation and revision of important technical documents like specs, manuals, and educational content.

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of proven industry experience as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or in a similar technical role.
  • B.Sc. or higher in computer science, bioinformatics, or related quantitative fields.
  • Deep knowledge of NLP and GNN applications.
  • Solid grasp of statistical methodologies and extensive Python expertise, including the use of ML libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Proved ability to transition research into scalable production code.
  • Exceptional problem-solving prowess paired with an analytical mind.
  • Effective collaborator, imbued with interpersonal and communication fluency.

Advantage:

  • Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Experience with PySpark in handling large-scale datasets.
  • Insight into clinical data, clinical trial processes, and regulatory standards.

Notes:

  • While we recognize the rarity of meeting every criterion, we encourage those with a deep-seated passion for learning and hands-on problem-solving to apply. At QuantHealth, we value the potential for growth and the drive to fill ability gaps on the job.

  • Our approach blends remote work with in-office engagement, typically involving two office days weekly alongside flexible home-based productivity.
