The credit team is driving a groundbreaking product, enabling businesses to offer their customers to pay later, while receiving the funds immediately from Balance. We are building a system that decides whether or not a business is credit worthy by doing risk assessment – All in a matter of seconds and at scale.

Responsibilities:

  • Build the credit product using Typescript (and Nest JS) and react.
  • Collaborate with product, risk and data teams to achieve our business objectives.
  • Be part of a high performing team that puts emphasis on learning quickly. This means we push code to production on a daily basis.
  • Take part in setting the overall architecture, system design and technology.
  • Own features end to end, from planning to delivery. We are building stuff for internal stakeholders as well as for customers.
  • Coach other team members to help them grow professionally.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continually improve the development process.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Full Stack development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with Javascript\Typescript, Node.js.
  • Experience with Web development (React an advantage).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and agile principles.
  • Experience building distributed systems at scale over microservices architecture.
  • Deep knowledge of SQL databases. We write data intensive queries.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team and effectively communicate ideas and solutions.
