ASTERRA‘s R&D department is actively seeking a resourceful, highly motivated and independent engineer, to join our team. The chosen candidate will have the exciting opportunity to contribute to ASTERRA's technological advancement and work with a diverse range of tools and environments. Furthermore, you will be part of our software development team and report to the software team leader.
Responsibilities
- Manage, operate & automate cloud infrastructures and services.
- Deploy the company’s cloud-based solutions, updates, and fixes, providing technical support.
- Oversee our software development platforms, streamline, innovate our build and CI/CD operations and optimize the costs of our cloud infrastructure and services.
- Take full lifecycle responsibility for Build and Release Engineering pipelines, covering data processing, software build, model training, testing, deployment, and inference.
- Manage the entire lifecycle of modular, reusable, scalable environments for software development, software build, model training, testing and production.
- Handle & optimize cyber-security for cloud services.
- Collaboratively solve complex problems in each of the environments.
- Work closely with our deep learning developers, algorithm developers and software developers.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years as a DevOps engineer.
- Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker & Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience scripting in Python and Linux shell.
- Practical experience using web-hooks and RESTful APIs.
- Strong proven experience with AWS (IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, S3, EC2, RDS, cost optimization etc.).
- Experience with Configuration Management using Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools, such as TerraForm.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in GitHub administration & workflows.
- AWS certification.
- DBA experience including PostgreSQL experience.
- Experience with Airflow
- Experience with MLOps frameworks such as Dask or Ray.
- Familiarity with geographical imagery and GIS data including geospatial DB’s.
