Senior Devops Engineer – Job Description

Atera is looking for a Senior and motivated DevOps Engineer to join us and build the framework for the engineering ops to scale.

In this position you will design and develop infrastructure and security, implement CI/CD flows for our product development, create automation processes and back-office tools, manage the company cloud and on-prem resources.

This is a full-time and onsite (hybrid-remote) role at our Tel-Aviv office.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and manage highly available, scalable and robust services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, operations, and security personnel to define infrastructure requirements and design scalable and secure DevOps solutions.
• Manage thousands of servers and containers by automating infrastructure changes and deployments.
• Developing and maintaining our logging, monitoring and alerting stacks.
• Troubleshooting and mitigating production infrastructure incidents as part of an on-call rotation alongside engineers from within all other R&D groups.
• Creating APIs and tools that will be used by 100+ engineers and have a direct impact on how ATERA delivers software and data.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Leveraging the existing CI/CD to the new system requirements
  
  

Requirements:

Requirements

• 5+ years of Experience as a DevOps Engineer in a large-scale production environments
• B.Sc. in Computer Science / DevOps course from recognized institution
• Experience with cloud platforms: Azure / AWS
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and container orchestration.
• Excellent scripting and programming skills (Python, Bash, Ruby, etc.).
• Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure Devops, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
• Implement best practices for infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies.
• Experience and passion to lead and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
  
  

Experience and knowledge in any of the below is highly evaluated:

• Web Servers, Load Balancers, Caching Systems, Relational Databases, Networking, etc.
• Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, Load-balancers, network security.
• Experience with optimizing frontend build processes using Webpack.
• SAAS monitoring and centralized logging platform (Application insights, Grafana)
• Proficiency with both Linux and Windows operating systems
• Ability to write documents specs, maintenance procedures
