We are looking for a DevOps engineer ,with strong coding abilities, to build and maintain the foundational backend services, tooling, and automation for Rise’s Ad Serving Platforms. In this dynamic and collaborative environment, you will be an integral part of a team managing a large volume of data, operating at a significant scale, and handling substantial traffic. You will be responsible for cloud infrastructure, creating CI/CD flows, Production and dev environments, and more.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand how to make their applications work at scale
• Devise creative solutions to problems and either implement them yourself or work with other teams to do so.
• Debug production issues at every tier of a massive distributed system, across dozens of services.
• Work to improve our core platform architecture.
• Embed with other teams to champion best practices around reliability, scalability, and observability.
• Actively advance your knowledge in engineering best practices.
• Core technologies and languages supported: AWS, Kubernetes, Pulumi, Docker, Golang, Redis, Bash, javascript

Requirements:

• At least 1 year experience with Kubernetes in production - MUST!
• Experience writing code in a programming language such as Golang, Python
• Worked with monitoring tools like cloudwatch, datadog, grafana, etc.
• Experience administering cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS, GCP, etc. - MUST
• Hands-on experience with IAC tools like Terraform, Pulumi, cloud formation, etc.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD Systems: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Circle-Ci, etc.
• Desire to learn and grow as you work on a highly performant ad-serving platform.
• Ability to communicate clearly in technical and non-technical settings.
• Basic understanding of Linux operating systems, Bash, and computer networking.
