Klear, a Meltwater offering, is the leading influencer marketing platform. We help brands and agencies build, scale, and measure successful influencer marketing programs. We are currently seeking a Senior Back-end Software Engineer. In this crucial role you will define the back-end tech stack roadmap, build our architecture, perform design reviews, and mentor junior developers. You will also execute complex back-end tasks and ensure we are always up to speed with industry best practices and technologies.

The solutions we build are fully web-based, offered as a service. The technology portfolio ranges from React, Redux, RxJS in the frontend to Node.js, Nest, TypeScript in the backend, with data powered by MySQL, ElasticSearch, Redis and DynamoDB. It is all on top of AWS with CI/CD and infrastructure as code. Our platform is powered by proprietary algorithms that are being developed in house and have been accepted into leading computer science journals.

Required Professional Experience and Skills Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in back-end development
• Proven ability to design complex back-end architecture
• Experience with Node.js,Typescript, MySQL/PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Redis, DynamoDB, Kafka, Docker, K8S, Grafana, Terraform, Drone
• Experience with a PaaS/SaaS cloud, preferably AWS
• Proven ability to deliver high quality back-end services
• Enthusiasm for back-end technologies and software development principles
• Experience with building and running applications in production
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and a demonstrated ability to find creative solutions to technical problems
• A degree in computer science or a comparable qualification
