The Data Science team builds and maintains the algorithms and datasets that power Localize's unique data platform. The team is responsible for Hunter (our recommendation & conversational engine), and the quality of company-wide measurements and predictions.
As a senior data scientist & NLP expert on the team, you'll design, develop and expand NLP solutions with LLM and classical NLP solutions, interact with stakeholders to connect the solution to production, impact chatbot conversation flows, learn from feedback and design new language based and AI solutions.
On a given day, you will:
- Develop NLU as part of a chatbot given a vast dataset for text classification and entities extraction.
- Find, experiment (train and test), and implement the right algorithms and tools for NLP tasks, combining LLM and classical NLP solutions.
- Remain updated in the rapidly changing field of machine learning.
- Design new NLP based applications.
- Collaborate with data analysts and scientists, data engineers, engineers, and product.
- Match, upload and review data in various sources for its reliability and validity.
- Take part as a data scientist on other none-NLP ML projects.
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Computational Linguistics or similar field or similar education
- At least 5 years of experience as a data scientist in a technology based environment (industry experience)
- Experience in using GPT and other LLM API.
- Experience in classical NLP techniques and algorithms (stemming, lemmatization, ngrams, entity extraction, TFIDF, BERT) and experience in Python for text handling (regex, spacy, NLTK, RASA).
- Experience in Python for machine learning (sklearn, TF)
- Solid experienced in developing robust and testable code
- Advantage: SQL (Redshift, Postgres), BI tools (preferably Looker) and data visualization
- You have a can do approach and a strong desire to learn
- You have an analytical mind with problem-solving abilities
