As a Software Engineer of the hardware core team, you will drive the integration of the software stack over Google’s CPU. You will be the driver and focal point for the Hardware-Software integration - working with software teams to support the transformation to the new architecture, from lowest level of secured firmware, boot, and Linux kernel, all the way up to machine-optimized C++ libraries and with the HW team on architecture & implementation. The server class architecture is still evolving and you will coordinate new features implementation on Hardware and Software sides.

Responsibilities

• Write and test product or system development code.
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
• Define, drive and implement various levels of software (Firmware, BIOS, compilers, OS and applications) based on HW & SW requirements
• Define optimized software architecture to meet use case requirements while providing options and/or trade-offs, identifying issues, and driving them to resolution.
