In this role, you will be solving architectural and engineering challenges. You will technically lead our cloud-based proprietary data platform solution. You will lead and mentor data related teams in they day to day work.

Responsibilities

• Technically lead our robust and diverse proprietary big-data platform
• Technically mentor team members
• Be the go-to person for the most difficult problems
• Perform ongoing research and apply innovative solutions to large scale problems
• Lead software standards and best practices for teams
• Collaborate with various stakeholders - product management, engineering teams, research, Cato leadership and more

Requirements

• (3+) Previous experience in architect position or similar
• (10+) years of hands-on programming experience in Java/Go/C++
• (10+) Experience designing, building or administering large scale software systems
• Experience with Kafka, ClickHouse, Spark, MongoDB, Iceberg - advantage
• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. Self starter with mentoring skills
• Expert in designing and implementing highly resilient big data applications
• Driving changes in adopting new technologies / architecture / process / development infrastructure – from envisioning (coming with the agenda) to actual execution of the strategy
• Experience in driving projects end-to-end, technically while also influencing goals and outcomes
