Data Scientist

As part of our growing Global Data and Analytics team, you will work with massive amounts of data from connected vehicles and AI-enabled Edge Cameras. As a Data Scientist at Rekor, your responsibilities will include understanding business needs, conducting exploratory data analysis, researching and designing algorithms, coding, training, testing, and validating models. You'll also be responsible for delivering innovative algorithms aligned with Rekor's product roadmap and implementing solutions using MLOps.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business and technical needs.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis and research to identify potential algorithms.
• Design, code, train, test, and validate algorithms.
• Measure model performance and present results to stakeholders.
• Deliver innovative algorithms aligned with Rekor's product roadmap.
• Implement solutions using MLOps and DataOps tools.

Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications:

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related technical field.
• 3+ years of relevant Data Scientist experience.
• Proficiency in Machine Learning methods (e.g., IoT telemetry, timeseries, computer vision, classification, anomaly detection).
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Familiarity with Deep Learning Frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, ONNX). – an advantage.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Experience with AWS Data and Machine Learning Ecosystem and Data Science workflow tools – an advantage.
• Ability to translate business requirements into machine learning solutions.
• Version control system proficiency (e.g., BitBucket, GitHub, GitLab).
• Effective cross-cultural collaboration and communication skills.
