The SRE team will be pivotal in overseeing our customer care organization. Their responsibilities span monitoring live systems and collaborating closely with sales engineers and our professional services department during proof-of-concept (POC) and deployment phases. With a mix of development and operational expertise, this role is tailored for those who excel in diverse technical environments.
Responsibilities
Customer Production Monitoring:
- Continuously monitor, analyze, and optimize customer environments to ensure optimal performance.
- Use monitoring tools and scripts proactively to identify and address potential issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams to tackle complex technical problems, always with a DevOps perspective.
Support For Customers, Sales Engineers, & Pro Services
- Guide all customer journey phases by facilitating seamless server installations and configurations, incorporating automation when feasible.
- Document and consistently update installation and troubleshooting guides for a technical, customer-facing audience.
Communication & Collaboration
- Cultivate robust relationships with internal teams, ingraining DevOps principles into daily activities.
- Serve as a technical liaison for customers, resolving queries using a DevOps-centric approach.
- Participate in ongoing learning sessions and team collaboration meetings.
Continuous Improvement
- Keep updated on the newest DevOps tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Champion process enhancements and automation to enhance efficiency and elevate customer satisfaction.
- Offer insights on product augmentations and optimizations derived from hands-on experiences.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years as a Support or DevOps Team Lead is required.
- At least three years of experience as a DevOps Engineer is required.
- Proven experience configuring and automating monitoring tools - required.
- Profound understanding of Docker managers (e.g., Kubernetes, K8S) - required.
- Skilled in automating and overseeing large-scale infrastructure.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Linux server environments and aptitude in bash scripting.
- Solid grasp of automation/configuration management systems.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Deployment best practices and servers like Jenkins and ArgoCD.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Advantages
- Proficiency with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Experience using cloud monitoring and management tools like Datadog and PagerDuty.
