Senior Backend Developer Position  

We are looking for a senior backend developer who is highly capable, self-motivated, and experienced, to play a lead role in the development of our big data analytics platform. Our solution involves wide scale, multi-source data acquisition, processing and semantic storage, data analytics, ML processes and interactive, customizable visualizations. As a backend developer at Viridian, you will be a part of our technology team, with broad responsibility for in Viridians core processes, from the data layer to the BE business logic.  

Responsibilities  

• Hands on day-to-day coding, developing Viridian’s data infrastructure. 
• Design server-side architecture, supporting multi-type data streams, hybrid storage technologies, flexible analytics layer, and rich UI. 
• Incorporate security, performance, modularity, and maintainability considerations.  
• Support research and data engineering teams 

Technological skills and background 

• 6+ Years of hands-on experience in building data-oriented cloud applications.   
• .NET FW / Core, C#. Proven experience with .NET Entity Framework and MVC 
• Good orientation with big data 
• Proven experience with SQL, good SQL scripting skills (MSSQL – Plus) 
• Proven experience with cloud infrastructure and platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.) 
• Experience building RESTful API services. 
• (Plus) Experience with Python 
• (Plus) Experience with FE technologies (HTML/CSS/JS/React) 
• (Plus) Experience with Linux 
• (Plus) Experience with ETL services 
• (Plus) Experience with GIS 
• (Plus) Experience with columnar databases
