Novocure is a global medical device company with R&D based in Haifa. The company is growing quickly as it commercializes TTFields therapy: a novel treatment for aggressive cancers using alternating electric fields.

We are looking for a Junior Data Management Engineer for the Algorithms group as part of our R&D center.

The algorithms group develops advanced tools to support Novocure’s activity, which are based on vast amounts of data of various types, mostly imagery, from multiple sources.

The job holder will be responsible for this data: developing sophisticated tools and methods for efficiently managing and handling it, in collaboration with the group members as well as other teams within Novocure.

Their role will include the support and supervision of a medical data annotation team throughout the annotation process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the data management activity of the algorithms group
• Design, implement and maintain data management tools for the group, including various data processing pipelines
• Collaborate with other teams within product development on data management issues
• Support data management and handling compliance with regulatory and QA standards
• Train and support the algorithms group on data management tools
• Support the annotation process in collaboration with the algorithm developers: prepare data for annotation, distribute data to annotators, develop scripts to automate the process, follow up the annotation process, and work with physicians to ensure annotation quality

B . Sc in Information system engineering / Data science and engineering / Biomedical engineering or another related field

• Knowledge:
• Highly organized, self-motivated and independent
• Team player, capable of working in a multi-disciplinary environment involving algorithm and software engineers, annotators and physicians
• Proficient in Python
• Familiar with databases and data management development tools
• Familiar with large datasets handling
• Familiar with medical imaging - advantage
• Familiar with image processing methods – advantage
