Algorithm Engineer, S tudent

Novocure is a global medical device company with R&D based in Haifa. The company is growing quickly as it commercializes TTFields therapy: a novel treatment for aggressive cancers using alternating electric fields.

We are looking for a highly motivated student to be part of the Algorithms team that develops new algorithms for TTFields treatment planning.

The student will be responsible for supporting the algorithm development activities as well as building a reliable database to be used by the team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Run in-house developed software tools and develop scripts to support algorithm development
• Support the creation of a big-data database
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

• Qualifications:
• 3rd-year undergrad student for a Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer science/ Electrical engineering/ Biomedical engineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years left before graduation.
• Knowledge:
• Available for at least 18 weekly hours
• Proficiency in Python.
• Team player capable of working in a multi-disciplinary environment involving algorithm engineers, software engineers, physicists, and annotators (medical students).
• Good understanding of computer vision, and image processing methods – an advantage.
• Good understanding of deep learning – an advantage.
• Fluent English (both speaking and writing)
